MEET RACHEL
Rachel Brown Mannix is a seasoned art advisor with a passion for connecting novice to experienced art collectors and corporations with exquisite pieces for their collections.
After receiving esteemed recognition and unparalleled skills at Texas Christian University, Rachel was equipped with a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and a Minor in Studio Art alongside her natural passion and talents in the field. Following her education, Rachel gained valuable, hands-on experience working at Christie's in the Impressionist & Modern Art and Post-War & Contemporary Art Departments. Afterwards, she interned in Advancement and Communications for the George O'Keeffe Museum where she created social media campaigns, oversaw image requests and became very familiar with managing and navigating extensive databases.
In following, she co-curated a successful exhibition at the St. Anthony Hotel in Downtown San Antonio with 19th and 20th Century European paintings and was the Director of Parchman Stremmel, a gallery focused on contemporary and Texas Modern artists. Now she currently works as an associate to Corporate Art Consultant Karen Calvert in addition to offering her own art advisory services. Rachel is a member of the International Society of Appraisers and is currently on her way to attaining accreditation level.
